Ned's obituary

DWYER, Williams "Ned" Pembleton, of Richmond and Sandbridge, Virginia passed away on September 1, 2022, of natural causes. Born on May 10, 1980, this magnificent man died at the early age of 42. Ned was the son of the late Thomas Johnson Dwyer and Ella Pembleton Carleton. Ned was predeceased by his grandparents, Dr. Williams Edwin Pembleton and Ella Craddock Pembleton, of Richmond, and Sheila and Jack McCarthy, of New York; his younger brother, Maxwell Chisolm Dwyer, who he loved dearly; and his uncles, Bill and Curtis. Ned (aka JigglyFresh) is survived by his stepfather, Doug Carleton; his aunt, Winnie; his uncle, Bob; cousins, Will, Sheila, Thomas, Casey, Maddie, Erik and Spencer; and his cat, Charlie. Ned's partner in crime, Bebe, will miss him dearly.

With a snap of eccentric and unconventional creativity, the charismatic character of Ned (aka HorkinFiberChunx) created experiences of pure friendship across the equally diverse spectrum of those he encountered. Our beloved CrotchityBungalow embraced and cherished his motley crew of friends as family. Founded on his passion for the world around him, this charitable soul never wanted anything from anyone other than to revel in their presence and relish the experience of the moment.

Presented through a beautifully executed ability to hustle his billiards family out of their pocket change, and to con cigarette junkies out of their satchels, the brilliance of his logic and wit was unparalleled. Cloaked by vulgar sarcasm and socially inappropriate humor, his intellectual dexterity grew tilted stacks on felted tables in the City of Sin and across a multitude of virtual spaces. His unfettered creativity was reflected through his fretboard staccatos and squiggle art penmanship. A sophisticated soul, balanced by the simplicity of a shaggy demeanor, grilled cheeses and bacon.

Ned, the bane of Old Man Witherspoon and the Terror of Regency Square, will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his family and a diverse group of friends new and old, who could only have been brought together by his singular sense of humor and incredible warmth.

Family and friends will gather in Sandbridge for a remembrance on Saturday, October 8. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Richmond Animal Care and Control.
