William's obituary

William Young Jr, 82, of Coppell, TX, passed away on March 28, 2023.

William was born on June 27, 1940 to William Young Sr and Nina (Goss) Young in Lake Charles, LA.  After graduating from AC Jones High School in Beeville, TX , he went on to study at Texas A&I University (Texas A&M - Kingsville) where he received his Bachelors Degree, and then he received his Master's Degree from Texas State University.  After graduation,  he was a teacher in Mathis ISD, Pleasanton ISD and Comal ISD in New Braunfels, TX.  His love of music was profound, not only in the countless awards he received but most importantly in the students he helped nurture.  After leaving the teaching profession he joined the heavy machinery business completing his extensive career at ROMCO, Equipment Co in Dallas, TX.  In 1963, he wed his sweetheart, Mollie Lou (Bomar) Young, and they had 2 children, Maurisa (Young) Riley and Elizabeth (Young) Phillips.

After retiring, he and Mollie became golf buddies and enjoyed living life in their second set.

William was predeceased by William Young Sr (father), Nina Goss Young (mother) and Vicki Young Martin (sister) . He is survived by Mollie Bomar Young (wife), Maurisa &Todd Riley (daughter & son-in-law), Elizabeth Young Phillips (daughter), Fallon Phillips (granddaughter),  Lillian Riley (granddaughter) , Chloe & Kosch Riley (step-grandchildren),  Robert & Pam Young (brother & sister-in-law) and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He will be missed immensely, but we are thankful he is at peace with his Lord and Savior.  The family will be gathering privately to honor his memory.
