William's obituary

William Rodney Windstanley Wick “Bill” born May 11, 1944, in England, was the beloved son of the late Rodney and Dorothy Wick. To those who knew him best, Bill was not defined by what he did, but by how deeply he loved and how quietly he endured.

At the heart of Bill’s life was Carol Wick, his wife of over 30 years and the love of his life. Their bond was one of devotion, loyalty, and deep companionship. Carol was his home, his safe place, and his constant. Through joy, hardship, and illness, she stood by his side, loving him with unwavering strength and tenderness.

Bill is survived by his sister, Elaine Grundy, his children Elaine McNaughton (married to John McNaughton), Christine LeBlanc (married to Jacques LeBlanc), Michael Wick (married to Tracy Wick), and David Wick (married to Kim Wick). He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one cherished and loved in his own quiet way.

He remained connected to extended family, including his brother-in-law from his first marriage, Paul Smith, and Paul’s daughters, Nikki and Jay.

Through his marriage to Carol, Bill lovingly embraced her family as his own. He is deeply loved and remembered by Carol’s daughters, Rene and Carol Jo.

Bill faced cancer with remarkable courage and dignity. Even in pain, he remained strong in spirit, drawing comfort from the love that surrounded him, especially from Carol, whose presence never wavered. His bravery in the face of illness reflected the quiet strength that defined his life.

Bill will be remembered for his deep devotion to family and the resilience with which he lived and fought. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, always.

Prayer:

May God grant Bill eternal rest and surround him with peace. May his soul be held in mercy and light, and may those who love him find comfort, strength, and healing in the days ahead. Amen.
