Bill's obituary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mr. William "Bill" Campbell, age 73, born January 20, 1952, who departed from this life on October 6, 2025. Bill was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

Bill is survived by his wife of many years, Lissa Campbell; his brother, Owen Campbell; his cherished children, Meredith Lalak (Christopher) and Connor Campbell(Kathryn); and treasured grandchildren, Owen Lalak, William Lalak, and Margot Campbell, plus many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his dear parents, Owen and Ruth Campbell; and his beloved sisters, Bridget Aldrich and Grace Cole.

Bill was a lover of life and craved knowledge, evident in his love for science fiction books. He was a man of many hobbies, from collecting unique paperweights and teapots to an assortment of knives. He derived immense pleasure from his times spent target shooting. Bill will also be missed by his dog Joey as he was a pushover for treat-giving.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Dublin Food Pantry at www.dublinfoodpantry.org.

Bill’s departure leaves a large gap in the lives of all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and his stories and experiences will continue to inspire and entertain those left behind. May his soul find eternal peace.

Bill's favorite Irish Blessing!

May the Road rise up to meet you

May the Wind be always at your back

May the Sun shine warm upon your face

May the Rains fall soft upon your fields

And until we meet again may the Lord hold you in the palm of His Hand.

A Celebration of Life is being planned in the next few weeks.
