I just visited the Ottawa Street branch of the Joliet library and was happy to see 2 well-worn copies of The Honduran Opal on display!
Thanks to everyone who came out for the memorial last week as well as everyone who's posted here and sent condolences and memories. It's nice to see the impact he's had on so many lives. Take care.

I’m so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I got to know Bill when we worked at Barnes & Nobel together. Bill always had a smile on his face and stories to share about his life, like how he was a cop in Blues Brothers, and when he spoke about his family, you could easily how much he loved them, and how proud he was of everything they did.

In the years since B&N I’ve enjoyed seeing the trips he’s shared as well as his writing and publishing journey. He was a kind, generous, and good person and he will be remembered by all who knew him.

My deepest condolences to Bill’s family. I went to Lewis with Bill and we did a couple of shows together at The Tangerine Tent, Carnival and at The Curbside Playhouse, One  Flew over The Cuckoo’s Nest. A funny and creative Man Who loved telling stories.

Dear Robb and family,
We are thinking of you all and sending love in your time of grief. Much love from the Klonsky DeJong family.
This was such sad news. Bill was a coworker at B&N and a real team builder. He was an exceptional author and wordsmith. His podcasts were highlights of many weeks and his radio shows will never be replaced. My deepest sympathies to Marge and his children and grandchildren. Treasure your memories and hold them close to your heart

I worked with Bill at Barnes and Nobel in Joliet. I enjoyed his sense of humor and appreciated his love of books! He was a skilled writer and knowledgeable about many things. It was fun over the years to see his many Facebook travel posts and photos he shared of his family.

I am certainly sad to hear of his passing. I am wishing his family and friends much peace during this difficult time.

He will be missed.

Grace and Peace on your loss.  I think I knew Bill from theatre at Lewis.  I remember him as a great guy.  With the recent passing of Mike Zigrossi, looks like Joliet is loosing some great talent.
