William Edward Tansey III passed away on Oct. 10, 2020 in Fall River, Mass, at the age of 66. He was born Feb. 25, 1954 as the eldest child to William and Barbara.
Bill was a strong personality with a presence that everyone felt when he entered the room. He enjoyed working with his hands, time spent at the campgrounds among friends, and making people smile. What he lacked in accolades and distinct honors he more than made up for with his genuine love and compassion for people, his devotion to family and friends, and his refusal to give up. Stubborn and bullheaded are words that could be used to describe him just as readily as kind, gentle, and accepting.
William will be remembered as a man who cared deeply for those around him, and for wished to leave the world better than when he arrived. He will be missed by the friends and family members who were blessed to know him and the countless friends of his children who became his extended family in turn.
He is preceded by his father William. He is survived by his wife, Pauline, his sons Kevin and Declan, his mother Barbara, his brothers Arthur and John, sister Kathryn, and several nieces and nephews.
