No no no no no no no no no , this breaks my heart no no no no.... This guy took my family in, my grandmother, without question out of the blue the week we moved to Florida and hurricane Irma hit. He cooked us 5 star meals, entertained us, and never asked for anything in return. Told us his stories about acting in Atlanta, and was just the best friend a person could ask for. I posted in the shippers group desperately looking for a place somewhat close to FL and he messaged me and said bring your family of 7 I'll keep you safe... What the hell why did this happen to such a great soul.

One amazing attribute of Bill was his ability to somehow achieve the most unexpected things!! For instance, it would be amiss to not mention about his "TV and film" career 😃 His famous back yard "The Bastard's Golf Tournament" was another classic. So many great stories and memories. Sincerest condolences to Sean and Alex along with the family.
Bill and I met working for Equant in 1999. He was easy to like and we became instant friends. The company sent us both to Sydney for the 2000 Olympics. We spent two weeks having the time of our lives. Over the course of the next 20+ years we didnt always see each other often but stayed in touch. Recently we tried to get together for beers but our schedules didnt allow it. I will forever be sad knowing I didn’t get to see my friend one last time.  Love you brother.

Bill was my friend and neighbor for years. He loved life and everyone in it, and his smile (usually coupled with a belly laugh) could light up a room.

His passion for food was infectious, and when he fired up the grill everyone in the neighborhood knew that a good time was guaranteed. It's something I always admired about him.

While there may be a Bill-shaped hole in my heart now, I feel lucky to have known him. Rest easy, old friend. Our love goes with you.

Bill was an amazing human being and appreciated by many for his gift of gab, amazing cooking, and sagelike advice over the years. He will be missed dearly by the shipfam community!

There were so many good memories to share about my uncle, but my favorite by far was when he saved my life at the lake. I stepped on a yellow jacket nest and was immediately swarmed and stung everywhere. Without hesitation, Uncle Bill ran up from the dock to grab me and jump into the lake together. He saved my life and I will forever be so grateful.
Love and miss you too much. You're gone way too soon <3
