Flower

Send flowers

Share your sympathy. Send flowers from a local florist to Bill's family or funeral.

I met Bill in 1998, I believe. He and the cast and crew were filming Mumford at the Flamingo Hotel in Santa Rosa. I was a bartender as was my co-worker Mike. We had a lot of fun chatting and Bill invited us to go to Telluride. I couldn't go because I had a little girl but Mike did.

He was a sweet soul and I will never forget him. I actually have pictures somewhere.

Blessings to his beautiful wife and family. I can't say I really "knew" him in totality, but the week he came to hang out with us lowly workers after they were done shooting made our work fun. And he kept the promise to bring us to Telluride even though I couldn't go.

peace be with Bill and his family. I heard of his passing tonight watching the Oscars.

I did not know Bill, but I knew his sister Shari from Hamilton High and remember going to the lovely Steincamp family home in Cheviot Hills.  I knew their dad was a movie editor and have always looked for the Steincamp name in film credits. When I saw Bill's name tonight in Oscar memorian, I wanted to express my condolences to the family.

We would love to thank all of you who came yesterday, sent cards, flowers and beautiful messages to honor my beloved husband, Bill. Your presence means the world to me and our family, and I know it would have touched him deeply to see so many of you here, celebrating his life. After 47 years together, I can say Bill was my rock, my love.  Seeing how much he meant to each of you—his old friends, coworkers, and his golf buddies and neighbors —reminds me of the incredible impact he had. Thank you for sharing in our memories and for showing us such love and support during this

To one of my best friends whom I played many a round of golf with!

A truly great man who inspired many with a heart of gold. Dianne & I will miss him and his generous spirit. One of the very best!

I hope that Bill, and everyone who loved him, finds the peace described in The Shack, the movie for which Bill was the film editor.

May Bill be of a Blessed Memory.

My sincerest condolences.  The world just became a little bit dimmer with the passing of Bill.
Bill will be very missed.  Sending our love for the family and friends during the grievance.   God Bless.
I found this excellent interview with Bill with some  insights into his amazing career.
