William "Bill" Stack, 72, formerly of Amesbury, MA, passed away on June 26, 2022 after a battle with lung cancer.

William was born on January 31, 1950 to Robert and Eleanor Stack in Amesbury, MA. After graduating from Amesbury High School in 1968 he went on to study art.  Bill decided to start his own business in 1979 and named his business Salem Village Furniture Refinishing. In 1975, he met Cheryl Laste, and they wed in July 1976, going on to have 2 children, Lauren Stack Turpak and Ryan Stack.


William was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them his unconditional love.  His family meant the world to him. He was unendingly proud of Lauren, Ryan, and Cheryl and his 2 grandchildren, Elliott and Nora.  He always tried his best to support them.


William was also a passionate cyclist, hockey player, model railroader, musician, grandfather and talented craftsman. Bill  could often be found in one of his workshops when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew William knew that he was the most kind, accommodating and loyal friend.  William was predeceased by Robert Stack and Eleanor Andrews Stack. He is survived by his sister, Linda Stack Lee and Dean Stack.  Zoom Funeral arrangements will be provided upon request.
