Dave's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William David Seddon Jr., known by most as "Dave". Born on September 11, 1961, Dave left us too soon on April 9, 2025.

He was born in Roanoke, VA, and raised in Fontana, CA where he graduated high school in 1979. Soon after in 1982, he married the love of his life, Patti, and welcomed their daughter, Christina, with excitement later that year. They eventually moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1995, Las Vegas, NV in 1998, and finally settled in Pahrump, NV in 1999.

He enjoyed the simple things in life from doing crossword puzzles to engaging in deep conversations with close friends. He reminisced about the days of racing RC cars, playing Golf and the old family Pinball machine. He had a deep passion for learning and loved watching educational programs on science, history, travel and cooking shows, Jeopardy, and How It's Made.

His movie choices ranged from The Princess Bride and Schindler's List to The Great Race, A Christmas Carol, Westerns, the Godfather series (and mobster movies in general).

He enjoyed watching the Broncos and the Dodgers, and appreciated a good steak, Mexican food, and sweets (especially when prepared by his mother). The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Neil Young were his go-to bands.

Dave was known for his devotion to his family and hard work. Dave was proud to be a Teamster, always working diligently to support his family. After dedicating many years to his work, Dave retired from the Nevada Test Site in 2023. His coworkers will remember him for emphasizing the importance of hard work and planning for the future.

His love for his animals was immense, and his kitty, Maxwell, misses him greatly.

Dave is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia "Patti" G. Seddon, his daughter Christina Seddon-Meyer, Son-in-Law Ashley Meyer, grandsons Liam, Everett, and Westley Meyer; brothers Stephen and Philip Seddon, sister Lara "Beth" Fox and their loving partners.

He was predeceased by his mother, Lina Suzanne (Crowder) O'Dowd, his step-father, Clancy O'Dowd, and his grandson, Gabriel Meyer.

While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we had with him and the love he shared with us.
