William Rodríguez was born on September 6, 1949 in the city of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. His parents, William and Nellie Rodriguez, and his beloved sister, Annie, were always proud of him. He studied at the schools of José de Diego and Manuel Barreto. Then, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education at Interamerican University. He also took classes in pursuit of a master's degree at California State University, Long Beach.
