Growing up in the 1970's, on Willowdale Ave, life as a kid was a wonderful.

Pushing cars up Grandview Ave. during snow storms.

Picking wild raspberries in the woods behind our houses.

Endless Frizbee games.

Skateboarding together, before it was hip or even widely discovered.

Riding that skateboard, holding a rope tied to a bike as it sped through the neighbourhood.

Spending hot summer days at Camp Samac. Swimming and eating shoe lace licorice from the canteen.

Traveling there via country roads in the Richards Pontiac Parisienne.

Norma at the wheel with at least 5 of us in the back seat and loving every minute of it.

A  group of us living carefree in our own little world.

Having fun together.

As kids, we grew and learned about life on that special little section of Willowdale Ave.

So many good memories.

I didn't realize it then, but realize now , the reason we all felt so secure, happy and confident was due to our parent's endless love and support.

Glenn and Norma's home was a place I always felt valued and welcomed.

I feel very fortunate to of had Glenn, Norma, Anne, Dan and Dale as my childhood neighbours and friends.

It is a time of sadness. And a time to reflect and honour Glenn.

Thanks for the memories...

John Schill

Our deepest condolences to your and your family during this trying time. The loss of a parent is difficult but the memories of a lifetime can help make the loss a little more bearable for all over time.
It was an honour and a pleasure to know Mr. Richards. He was a kind man as I Roy Canning have been looking after his property for the past 14 years. We would at times sit on his front porch and enjoy a beer and chat about baseball. I am very sorry to hear about the sad news. He will be greatly missed around our community. Our condolences from our family to yours.
