William John Reckentin II, of Cahokia, Illinois, born March 4, 1960 in Pekin, IL died Sunday August 9th at Autumn Meadows in Cahokia, Illinois. He had a passion for Bar-B-Queing and a love of animals and music. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Reckentin, and his parents, William and Mary Jo, nee Ray. Surviving are his step children, LeRoy Schuchardt, Jr. of Colorado and Dawn Busch of Marthasville MO, sisters Dian Mahaney of Ruskin FL, Cheryl Oetting of Jonesburg MO, Constance Leininger of Arnold MO, and brother Patrick Reckentin of Washington MO. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Memorials may be made to any No Kill Animal Shelter.
