Bill's obituary
William Robert Radke- 66 passed away on October 18th, 2022, at home in Brentwood California. Bill was born on February 22nd, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up in Colorado Springs, graduated from Mitchell High School in 1974.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Bob Radke, and mother Margie Radke. Bill is survived by his loving wife Cathy Radke, and his two daughters, Amanda Enloe and Jenny Radke. Stepchildren, Scott Weis, Mark Weis (Anna Weis), and Amanda Weis. Thirteen grandchildren, Gabby Enloe, Gavin Enloe, Jenna Radke, Addison Weis, Lily Weis, Carmelina, Brexton, Alex, Trenton, Zoey, Caesar, Natalie, and Leslie. Two brother’s Ed Radke (Josie Radke) and Rick Radke. Nieces Rochelle Radke and Jessica Matney and nephew Eric Radke (Kristi Radke).
Bill was a strong-willed, proud provider for his family. Bill loved life, and he lived life to the fullest. He was a kind soul, loving, witty, no bs, goofy, big kid at heart who devoted his life to his wife, children, and grandkids. A man built on honor and integrity- a natural leader, he taught his children the importance of a strong work ethic and living by and honoring the golden rule. Bill constantly reminded his children how loved they were and how no matter what life threw at them, how to dust themselves off and get back up.
Bill was an excellent father to all 5 of his children and loved to surround himself with his grandchildren, providing them with endless amounts of love and laughter. Being a granddad gave this big kid at heart another chance to be just that, a big kid again. Bill was a hands-on granddad, who played an active role in the lives of all his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to gloat over their accomplishments or to tell them how special each one of them was to him.
Bill was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan who engaged in shenanigans with his two brothers over their favorite rival football teams. The three brothers shared a passion for Star Wars, and each of them collected memorabilia. Bill loved listening to the Beatles, building model rockets, collecting rare coins, and had a knack for gardening.
Bill will be remembered as a goofy, big kid, devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to all. Bill’s love and legacy will never be forgotten, and he will be missed more than he could ever imagine.
“When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.”
