William's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Pursino on February 28, 2023. Born in Queens, New York, on July 8, 1952, William was known for his vivacious personality, as described by those who knew him as witty, sarcastic, caring, and boisterous.
In his professional life, he dedicated his efforts to serving as a Corrections Officer, where his strong work ethic and passion for maintaining order earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Outside of work, Bill was an avid fan of history documentaries, which allowed him to spend hours immersed in the past, gaining knowledge, and quenching his thirst for historic events. Often, he would engage in deep conversations, sharing his acquired wisdom and insights with friends and family. This confidence was evident throughout his life as he forged meaningful connections and inspired those around him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 22 years, Denise Pursino. He is survived by his children Tiffany McPhee (John), Heather Fraleigh (Peter), Francis Williams (Katie), Jacqueline Christensen (Kyle), and his grandchildren; Madison, Parker, Aubree, Carolynn, and Amelia. His legacy as a devoted father and inspiring individual will never fade but continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
We ask that you keep William, Denise and their family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
