W.D. was born June 30, 1951 in Sedalia to Ellis and Virginia (Smalley) Poole. He served in the United States Navy and later earned an Associates Degrees from Wentworth Military Academy. He then attended Lex La Ray Vocational School earning a degree in Computer Technology, graduating with honors. On April 13, 1985 he married Linda Crumble in Lexington. W.D. was a Baptist. He loved music, collecting records, traveling, Betty Boop, Chaka Khan and was an avid reader.
Survivors include his wife of the home; children, William Denver Poole II and companion Donna Kereston of Lexington, Sarah Poole of Lexington and Christopher Edward Ellis Eugene Poole and wife Shyanne of Lexington; sisters, Janette Poole of St. Louis, Melinda Poole of Columbia, Stephanie Poole of Columbia and Judith Poole of Sedalia; brothers, Paul Buckner of Sedalia, Calvin Poole and wife Mary of Arlington, Texas and Earnest Poole and wife Eva of Denton, Texas; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
