Bill's obituary
He then returned to Florence, Colorado and married the love of his life Elaine (Gifford) on December 7, 1968 and became the proud daddy to son Brian, daughters Sherry and Debby. Bill worked 35 years at “Portland” Holcim cement plant, retiring in 2004. Will (as he was known to all Marines) held an integral part in developing and receiving the charter for the Marine Corps League Detachment 1318 in 2008, he held a lifetime membership.
He is preceded in death by father Curtis Perdue and mother Vivian (Eller) Perdue. Survived by his wife of 52 years Elaine (Gifford) Perdue; son Brian (Phoebe) Perdue of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; daughter Sherry Perdue of Penrose, Colorado; daughter Debby Perdue of Coal Creek, Colorado. Four grandsons Chance (Kimi) Combs of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; Tait Hoffarth and Jacob Hoffarth of Penrose, Colorado; Seth Perdue of Florence, Colorado; five granddaughters Megan Stanley of Canon City, Colorado; Carly Hammel-Lyons of Pueblo, Colorado; Taylor (Colton) Turner of Midland, Arkansas; Melissah and Arianne Gonzales of Penrose, Colorado; five great-grandsons and one great granddaughter; his brothers and sisters along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment of cremains, with full military honors will be held at Union Highland Cemetery on July 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Marine Corps League – Royal Gorge Detachment 1318, P.O. Box 1376, Canon City, Colorado 81215.
