My daddy always had my back...I was helping with the Toys for Tots collection. Dad and I both had a full load of toys to be distributed. We were taking them from the collection point to the distribution point. I pulled in to the alley and another truck got in between me and my dad. I went and asked the man that if I pulled out, if he would mind pulling out then pulling in behind my dad. This man got upset stating that this was his place of business and that he had every right to park in the alley to unload. My dad pulled in the alley and I went and told him that the man refused to move. He said ok he'd just back out of the alley and back in in front of this man. Man, could my dad back a trailer...Anyway, as I was walking past the man he said something to me about him moving...blah blah blah....I told him "just f'ing forget it!" He then walked over to my dads truck and asked my dad if he knew who I was and that I cuss like a sailor. This is what my dad said, "well, that's my daughter and I'm a Marine and the Marines taught the sailors how to cuss so I'm not sure what to tell you." I was so scared that my dad was going to be upset with me but when he told me his response to the man my heart filled with pride. I miss you daddy!

Bill was a very thoughtful man. He taught me by example to be a good friend. He was always ready with a smile and a hug to make everyone feel loved and cherished. He and Elaine were such good friends to us over the years.
In response to "What did you learn from Bill?"
