William's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William "Billy” Angelo Navarette, a gentle and kind-hearted man who left us on July 31, 2025. Born on October 22, 1950, he was also endearingly known as Billy and his CB handle was “Hillbilly”. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Antoinette Lewis and his father James C Navarette
He is survived by his only child Annette Navarette, his wife Dorothy Battaglia of sadly only one year and his future son in law Robert Corso whom he loved very much along with his parents Marion and Ronald Corso who always made him feel like part of the family. He loved them and loved Marion’s cooking
His calm personality and genuine kindness enriched the lives of those around him and made him a cherished friend and the most perfect father. He extended a helping hand to anyone he knew, embodying the true spirit of giving and caring. He told the truth, didn’t judge and enjoyed peace and quiet He used to go muddying in his Jeep and enjoyed hunting in the Corbett area
Dad had a few people who he considered close friend s, Raymond Sorrells has known us since right after dads accident in 1983 Ray was and has always been there for me and my family he is our family my dads best friend for 40 years or so. he loved Ray

A man of varied interests and passions, William was particularly fond of fishing, playing poker pool and he was a great bowler. He trained in martial arts at The Dojo, Mark Herman’s studio, another great friend
He grew up inWPB/Riviera and carried many jobs that served his community he worked for Nozzle Nolan, owned a Fina gas station on Broadway and later sold it to BP he workers for Rybovich on a lobster boat and his best career was that of a semi truck driver I was always proud of whatever my dad did but this was cool The KW was beautiful and I loved our special alone time as is co pilot Year later he opened a Cazzollis pizza place. He could throw the dough in the air, he enjoyed that job
He held a special place for his dog Peppy in his heart. Peppy lived with him and Annette from 2018-2023 until he moved out to marry his new love Dorothy Battaglia who he met online and was so happy to have found her
His favorite local spots included The Wonder Bar, growing up. It was on Broadway 42nd street, praised for its delicious cheeseburgers and he played pool there. He loved vacationing in Tennessee and then moving there to live with his daughter in 2014. He loved their trip to Graceland, the Smokey mountains, Talladega race and the Daytona 500. He enjoyed football and supported his home team The Dolphins. He enjoyed the Kennel Club and Hard Rock Casino loved being home, playing poker on his phone and watching his favorite shows He enjoyed the simple life
He shared his wisdom through his own life lessons, teaching me morals and values to live by. He was the best driving teacher, and he taught me how to shoot a can off of a fence pretty well
He leaves behind a legacy of sincere kindness and caring , trust and my stability. He did his very best in his life and I say he had a good one
William's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy of kindness and devotion to those he loved will continue to inspire all who knew him. I am writing a book in his honor It’s about the trauma he went through and the previous year how to live after a traumatic event and educating people on Myasthenia Gravis with great medical fact details
He had 3 beautiful wives.:
My mom Carol Elaine Harper for 26 years. His true love since high school hook. She passed from cancer in 1999. They were married for 26 years
He met Judy Dobbins and just fell head over heels for her. He told me this pretty lady asked him to dance (at Renegades). The song was The Dance by Garth Brooks. That was the beginning of their love story. She came home with him and never left. They married shortly after. I love her and still talk to her.
Finally, he met Dorothy Battaglia online in 2023. He moved in with her and they married in June 2024. Sadly, he started getting sick after that. She took great care of him. And he was happy to have her as his wife, he didn’t die a single man. I appreciate her for loving him.
I will miss my dad for the rest of my life, sadly the trauma will remain but dad always said I can handle anything that comes my way so I must do as he said hoping the book helps just one person
I love you to the moon and back dad Love always, Net, Little Bitty XOXO
Daddy, you lived by your motto “I did it my way”. And you sure did and you did it all perfectly.
