Bill's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Miller Jr., who passed away on June 16, 2023. Bill was born on August 7, 1945, to the late William Miller Sr. and Thelma Miller. He was a loved and cherished member of his family and community.
Bill is survived by his current wife, Barbara Benesch, and his children, Jeffrey Miller, Gregory Miller, and Stacey Lopez. He was also a proud grandfather to Zachary Lopez, Sean Lopez, Anna Miller, Leah Miller, Eli Miller, and Eon Miller. His daughters-in-law, Kelly Miller and Annette Miller, also mourn his passing. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Miller, whom he married in 1966.
Bill served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. Then he began his career at Alcoa - Warrick Operations where he worked for 30 years and in 1999, Bill retired from a successful career with Alcoa. His hard work and dedication left a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure to work with him. He was passionate about his hobbies, which included taking cruises, playing golf, and working on his model trains. Bill's favorite vacation spots were Alaska and the Caribbean, where he created many unforgettable memories with his loved ones.
Bill's love for music was undeniable, as he enjoyed listening to Neil Diamond and Kenny G. A sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals. When it came to games, Hearts was his favorite, and he took pleasure in playing it with friends and family.
Beyond his many interests and hobbies, Bill had a soft spot for his favorite foods and drinks. He was particularly fond of Altoids, Schnuck's Bagels, and Donut Bank Donuts, always enjoying a Caffeine-Free Diet Coke to accompany his treats.
Bill Miller Jr. will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him, and he will never be forgotten.
