Bill had a significant impact on my life. I really appreciate him and am better to have had him in my life. While I was growing up, Bill was my next door neighbor and one of my single-mom's best friends. Having that consistent presence in my life really helped define what a man could and should be. My entire perception on what family is, and what my role could be has been greatly influenced by the McLaurin's and specifically Bill. I miss him so much already but am so grateful that he got to meet my new son. His influence will live on long after his passing. I am better having had him in my life. I'm a better man, dad, husband, and friend. I will continue to honor him by living the type of life that he showed me as possible.
So many memories with our families as young children. Always praised me when I played softball. Helped me learn the game without fear and ....what magic our Azalea teams had all those years. Driving in the back of his white pick up truck on a Friday night after playing ball. Pizza parties. Swimming in his pool until midnight while our parents were “adulting”. Christmas Eve at the MxLaurins was the best! Encouraging me to go “bald” after chemotherapy because he had no hair either! Loving my dad and being his one true beat friend. So grateful our families met! What beautiful memories! Love you Bill! God bless your beautiful family that you created!

I remember meeting Bill and Lee being neighbors of Judy and Kathy . We wanted to start a women's softball team and Bill agreed to be our coach. Oh what memories. Prayers to Lee and the kids and grandkids.
Way to many stories to talk about! Bill always made me laugh but this one story still makes me cry to this day. My dad was dying and Bill and Lee came over to visit. Well many years earlier Bill and my dad had a $1 bet of some kind and my dad won the bet. Bill had never paid and he pulled out a dollar and gave it to him so when he saw him again, they would be “square”. We laughed and cried. I will miss you Bill, I will miss you picking on my sister too!
