William (Bill) H. Massagee III, 67, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on August 18, 2024, with his family by his side.

Bill was born on October 4, 1956, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the son of the late William H. Massagee II and Doris Elizabeth (Mack) Massagee. He graduated North East High School in Fort Lauderdale in 1974. While living in Fort Lauderdale, he met and married the love of his life, Lynn Valerie (Ward) Massagee. Shortly after, they moved to Vero Beach where they raised two sons, William (Tyler) Massagee and Joseph Lee Massagee. Together they opened several businesses, including Custom Marble & Granite, Inc. and Heavy Equipment Services of Vero, Inc.

Bill enjoyed boating, traveling in his RV, working cattle at the family’s cattle ranch, Massagee & Son’s Ranch LLC, with his cattle dog, which he trained, a Blue Heeler, named Arlo. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Whether it was making his homemade pizzas or having a scotch by the water, his family was his pride and joy.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lynn Massagee, his two sons, Tyler (Melissa) Massagee and Joseph (Jessica) Massagee, and four grandchildren, Ella Massagee, William (Tyler) Massagee, Joseph (Cash) Massagee and Leah Massagee, all of Vero Beach.

Bill was a deeply beloved husband, father and Poppy. His quick wit, solid advice and unwavering love for his family will be missed immensely.

Family and Friends of Bill are invited to a visitation at Strunk Funeral Home, 916 17th Street, Vero Beach, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 2-4pm. A Memorial Service will be held from 3:30-4pm. Reception to immediately follow at The Plaza, next door.
