R.I.P William Robert Marquardt

Beloved husband, brother, uncle, granduncle and friend William Robert Marquardt returned to his heavenly home on April 24, 2020.
He was survived by his wife Ilka, sister Patricia and her husband Robert, nephew Michael, nephew Thomas, his wife Catherine and their daughter Stella-Rose.
Bill was a native New Yorker, born in LIC on April 16, 1953 in the loving family of Geraldine Shine and Robert Marquardt. Graduate of Brooklyn Tech, Geneseo State University and MBA from Fordham University he was a talented international banker and corporate underwriter.
Bill knew the city like nobody else, its history, its place to eat and entertain, where to sit in quiet or walk in the evening, street fairs and museums. He loved the energy created by live performances.
Ready to give directions on the subway or where was best food in town…
He had so exceptional taste for food that everybody asked him to order first…
Rock music was in his blood, and Good Vibrations by Beach Boys was his favorite, among others.
Bill was a member of AOH, Ancient Order of Hibernians division 1, its chairman for a while and Aide to the Grand Marshall Mary Higgins Clark in the 250th St. Patrick Day Parade in NYC.
Bill has many friends all over the world and they are invited here to share memories.
