Snooky's obituary

Snooky was born on January 29, 1953, in Everett, MA; he was the cherished son of the late Mary "Murial" (Galante) and William J. Lynch, Sr. Snooky, along with his sisters grew up at Silver Lake in Wilmington where he learned to swim, skate, and play hockey with the neighborhood kids. Snooky attended Wilmington schools, he made countless friends throughout the years and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1971. Snooky was quite an athlete throughout his life; he was a standout hockey and baseball player at Wilmington High School and equally as talented at softball when he played on many softball teams throughout his adult life.

Snooky worked hard as a carpenter; he owned and operated New England Contractors for many years; he loved his job, his fellow co-workers and was proud of the work he had done throughout the years.

Snooky loved his family with all his heart; he was the only son and undoubtedly "the favorite" child to his parents, according to family myths. He was a great dad to his daughter Kasey; he was so proud of her accomplishments and she was the "apple of his eye". Snooky also had a soft side to his "tough exterior" and always carried a special place in his heart for his late daughter Nikki Leigh. Snooky loved his sisters and his nieces and nephews; he enjoyed all the family holidays and celebrations they spent together throughout the years. Snooky was fiercely protective of his family and his Samoyeds; there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them.

In his spare time, Snooky enjoyed riding his motorcyle on the open road, travelling all over the United States chasing NASCAR, spending time with family and friends, hanging out with his dogs at his home on the lake and playing a good, competitive game of softball.

Snooky will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor; his quick wit, he loved to tell a good joke or pull a fast prank on someone; all in fun of course. Snooky lived his life to the fullest; he worked hard, he lived hard and he played hard but he had a heart of gold, he loved everyone and was always willing to help someone out. Snooky will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Snooky was the beloved father of Kasey Starke and Nikki Leigh Lynch, dear brother of Barbara Brennick and Francine Hersom both of Wilmington, best friend of Janet Prince, special uncle of the late Kelly Michaud, Dick Hersom, Timothy Hersom, Ann Marie Brennick, Stephanie Kelley and their families. He is further survived by many cousins and friends.
