William's obituary
He was the fifth child and only son to Carmelo Lopez and Julia Vega on January 18, 1948. William worked many years as a pipe fitter and meter reader for the gas company.
William is survived by his youngest son Alexander Lopez Sr. (Jennifer Lopez), Sister Josefina Esquilin, Grandchildren Alexander Lopez Jr. and Alexis Marie Lopez. And countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family was all important. He was preceded in death by his eldest son William Lopez Jr., three beloved sisters and his parents.
William loved fishing and boats, pontoon boats especially, but any thing that would bring him to the water or in the water to fish. He loved family and food, coffee( his mud as he called it). But family was most important keeping up with everyone, protecting and caring for each and every member of his family was his daily job. He needed to understand how each and every member was. Making sure his family was loved, cared for, safe, and warm was his passion always. It says uncle previously but if you ask his nieces and nephews he was their loving and devoted dad.
He had a love of mechanics and spent a lot time working on and repairing automobiles. This passion was passed on to his eldest son.
There will be memorial services to follow these plans will be announced as soon as they are cemented.
