William's obituary

William "Bill" Lepley, 71, passed into Eternity on May 30th, 2024.  Bill was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 28th, 1952 but grew up in Azusa, CA.  He moved to Seattle, WA and met the love of his life, Brenda, whom he married on July 23rd, 1983.  They were together for 41 wonderful years.  Bill worked for many different companies over the course of his career but upon moving to North Dakota in 1993, he pursued his childhood dream of milking cows.  He continued to work in the dairy industry until moving to Brookings, SD in 1999.  There he worked for 3M until health issues forced him into early retirement.  In 2017, Bill and Brenda bought a home on 10 acres in Alamogordo, NM.  He loved spending time outside and had planted several fruit trees and vines in addition to a large fruit and vegetable garden on the property.  Bill loved to fish.  He loved joking around, telling stories and making people laugh.  He was known for having a "Million Dollar Smile."  He also loved to sing and play the guitar.  He was part of the worship team at Word of Life Baptist Church while living in New Salem, North Dakota.  The Lord was always giving him a new song.  In October of 2023, Bill had life-saving surgery to repair a very large dissection in his aorta.  Unfortunately, he had a stroke after surgery and had several setbacks but he never gave up and was determined to walk again and get his quality of life back.  Bill and Brenda moved to Qaser, Jordan in April of 2024 and were able to spend Passover in Jerusalem.  He got to go on one last great adventure.  He passed peacefully with Brenda by his side on the night of May 30th.  He is preceded in death by his Father Kenneth, Mother Geraldine, daughter Julie and sister Patricia.  He is survived by his sister Kathy, brothers Ronald, Michael and Donald, wife Brenda, children Adam, Erin, Trish and Michael, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  His body is buried in Amman, Jordan according to his wishes. May his memory be a blessing.
