Bill's obituary

WEST BEND

William Howard Landon (Bill)
July 30,1941-May 26, 2025
William H. Landon (Bill) of West Bend, anticipated meeting his savior and looked forward to
joining loved ones in heaven. He was born at St Mary's in Madison on July 30th, 1941. Born to
Ella Mae Baker and Lyle Howard Landon. He went to Riverside High School in Milwaukee and
met his beautiful wife Diana while working at Krambo grocery store where Clarence Veit, his
future father-in-law was the store manager. They married May 13,1967 at Our Lady of Good
Hope Catholic Church Milwaukee, WI. Bill went on to work at Bradley Washfountain/Bradley
Corporation for 39 years, while raising his family in the Town of Polk-West Bend area. And later
lived in Montello, enjoying playing pool and hanging with friends.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and always loved dogs. Combining playing, hide and
seek, with the family dog. They stayed in the garage while the children hid in fields around the
family home. Then Bill would release the dog to find the children. Dad would sometimes take
over doing dishes at night just so the kids could go outside to play. Other times he would lay on
the floor with his arms bent so that each child could try balancing on his hands as he raised
them into the air, to see who could balance the longest, never seeming to tire . He would light up
any time he saw his kids, grandchildren, or great grandchildren. You always knew you were
loved and cared for by the expression he wore on his face.
