William (Bill) Lawrence Kurmes, 83, of passed away January 9th, 2025 surrounded by family. Born September 26, 1941 to Ernest Kurmes and Ruth Beckman, Bill was an amazingly kind human being, a wonderful husband, father and friend. He graduated from Norwich University in Vermont and went straight into the Army. He was a hero by saving a long range reconnaissance mission in Vietnam by landing his helicopter to pick them up when they were under …
