William's obituary
William Joseph Werner of Hampstead, NC died on March 4, 2022 at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was 92 years old and is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 67 years, Monalene Raybuck, daughter Carla Gagnon, her husband Richard, seven grandchildren, Aaron Burd, Lisa Burd Delo, Ryan Burd, Christina Uzelac-Virgil, Angela Uzelac, Kyle Gagnon, Craig Gagnon and nine great grandchildren. He served seven years in the US Military while serving in the Arms Security Agency Headquarters.
He was a member of the Sheet Metal Worker’s Union and worked as a shop foreman where he directed and supervised the fabrication of sheet metal products. He also worked all over the country as a project manager and designer draftsman of HVAC duct systems.
As a devout Roman Catholic, he served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist to those who were unable to participate in Mass including taking the Holy Eucharist to those in hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and shut-ins. He was a dedicated Hospice volunteer for over three decades in Butler, Pennsylvania and in Leesburg, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his five siblings, Albert, Howard, Ervin, George, and Dorothy. With all of his employment and accomplishments, he never failed to give praise to God for the talents he was given. His cremains will be entered in Calvary Cemetery, Butler, PA. The memorial Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, Hampstead, NC.
