Sending hugs to Billy’s family and friends. Billy was a great guy all the way around. Kind, funny, affectionate, smart. He will absolutely be missed!

Very thankful Grandpa Bill came over to our home and brought beautiful koi fish from his pond and stocked our pond. He spent time Instructing us on the ins and outs of how to care for the fish. He was so kind and generous and had an amazing sense of humor!  Also a super grandpa to little Logan and his siblings! We all sure miss him!

I met Billy my freshman year at CWU in Ellensburg. His pals in Kennedy Hall were so much fun to hang out with. He also joined my husband and I in the early-mid 70s on an adventure in Wyoming. Our paths crossed several times over the past 48 (?) or so years, and I believe my husband, Frank Nelson, went fishing with him on the Columbia at some point. When I think of Billy, I think of his laughter and comeraderie as well as his sense of adventure and wicked fishing abilities.  My sincere condolences to all of his family.
He was a kind man who always took time to share a great story. Every fish in our lakes and streams feared him.
