William F. Hayes (Bill), of Belford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at the age of 70 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. He lived many years in the Kingsbridge section before moving to Belford.

A self-taught artist, Bill took great pride in his lifelong passion and devotion to his abstract works of art. He was an avid NY sports fan of the Giants, Yankees and Rangers. He enjoyed philosophical conversation, classical music, fine art, investing, reading and research. A gifted student, Bill was awarded a full math scholarship to Fordham University after graduating from Cardinal Hayes High School.

Bill was dedicated to his beloved family who he was very close with. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Brenda Hayes of Tinton Falls; his sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Paul Plant of Beachwood; and his brother and sister-in-law Keith and Patricia Hayes of Oakhurst. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with and will be sorely missed by.

Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Julia Hayes.
