Just before he passed.. he knew it was time and my husband dropped everything to get me there to see him. He thought I was my mom at first, then he started talking about me, and realized it was me. He said to me “I’m going to search for you in heaven baby” and we cried together. He told me to take some rootbeer home with me because it’s our favorite soda.. I still have the bottle.
