William's obituary
Preceded in death by his parents William Edward Goode and Frances Miriam Dixon Goode-Salyers, survived by his beloved wife Gertrude Wood Banton Goode, sons Ned (Carol), Rob (Celia) and Paul (Carol), his brother Thomas D. Goode, his grandchildren: Daragh, Ashling, Karen, Alex, Lucas, Maya and Ryan, step grandchildren Ariley, Lori, Alyssa and great grandchildren Riley, Aven, Lilly and Tobias. Billy was a graduate of John Marshall High School class of 1956 and co-captain of the football team in 1955. He was a previous member of Richmond Light Infantry Blues of VANG, board of directors Highland Springs-Sandston, Superintendent of the Sunday school at Fairmount Christian Church, President of Richmond Metropolitan Umpires Association and President of Richmond Consumer Fiance Association. In his later years he wrote poetry and was an abstract artist. He was inspired to start doing this 20 year's ago by his wife who is an interior designer. Billy worked in many occupational endeavors. He at one time owned two thoroughbred race horses in the seventies and enjoyed following this industry across the USA.
Billy was loved by all who knew him and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
