The association that I have with the Feess family stems from my getting to know Mary. She called one day and wanted to donate some things to us. We got to talking and I found out that she worked for Social Security. Mary became my "go to person" when I had a question about Social Security. Because I work with needy families; this topic would sometime need addressing. When Mary passed away I went over to the house to pick up things that William wanted to donate. As I walked through the house I became aware of all the awards around. Curious, I looked at one and it said GPS. Then the realization came that the gentleman and I do mean Gentle-Man, that was conducting me around was none other than the inventor of GPS!! Then it was time for questions. I asked how did you get the idea and he explained in very simple terms that all the satellites needed to be coordinated and that is how it came about. To get a first hand explanation like this I count as one the high points of my life. And I thank God for this opportunity. Not everyone can lay claim to have met the originator and inventor of such a wonderful tool. Not everyone can claim to have met Bill Feess. His whole demeanor was just so down to earth and easy he made a person very comfortable in his presence. A real father figure...you children have a great father who zeroed in on God with his GPS and now looks down from the heavens along with your mom upon you and he uses his GPS to zero in on you to see how you are doing. May Bill rest for ever in peace with the God that he served so well. He used the talents that God him to make life better for everyone here on earth. Sister Darlene Young, SCRH
The Messmer High School family in Milwaukee Wisconsin extends its sympathies to the Feess family. We are proud that Bill’s education included Messmer High School and we are grateful that he chose to regularly donate to his Alma Mater over many years. May He Rest In Peace.
