William's obituary
William Earl West of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of boundless creativity, quick wit, and an ever-upbeat spirit. Born on Tuesday, November 1, 1955 to the late Charles E and Flossie Hope West who survives. He is survived by his mother, Flossie West; sisters Debra West Tarrance and Kathy West; brother Freddie Monroe West; and a loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins.
Earl’s passions ranged from painting and carpentry to storytelling around a campfire. His warm presence and quick jokes could brighten any room. He was a devoted fan of the outdoors-especially the Green River Rochester Dam-where he found peace camping under the stars and delight in observing the beauty of nature. Earl was also an animal lover, finding joy and companionship in the creatures he encountered. May we honor William Earl West by embracing creativity in all its forms, sharing laughter without reservation, and keeping our spirits perpetually uplifted-just as he taught us every day of his remarkable life.
