William (Bill) Eugene Dooley, an amazing son, husband, father, brother, paw-paw, friend and dedicated provider and salesman, gained his wings on the morning of February 11th, 2022 after a short but relentless battle with stage 4 lung cancer.

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debby, his mother, Sue, his brother Randy, his son, William II along with his wife, Taylor, his granddaughter, Willow Grace, daughter Tiffany and her partner Jay, and grandson Elijah. He is preceded in death and reunited in heaven with his father Eugene and brother, Dino.

Bill was born on November 26, 1952 in Tell City, Indiana to Eugene and Sue Dooley. He attended and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute after studying Automotive and Diesel Mechanics. He owned and operated Dooley’s Rockport Shell in Rockport, Indiana with his father up until 1978. After which he set out on an adventure to pan for gold and amethyst in the Arizona desert for 5 years during which he met and married his wife Debby. In order to provide for his new wife and future family, He decided to return to his passion of working wirh automobiles, and became an instructor at UTI where he enjoyed sharing his love of auto mechanics and educating others. After breaking away from UTI, he decided to pursue a career as an automobile salesman at Bayshore Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Baytown, Texas for close to 30 years.

Bill dedicated his time and life to providing as much as he could for his family by working long and hard hours to make sure they were taken care of. In his limited spare time he enjoyed fishing with his kids, hunting, camping, and working with his hands. In his later years, he enjoyed spending his free time with his son, granddaughter Willow, and taking mini-trips to Louisiana casinos with his wife, Debby.

Bill enjoyed being a salesman and always stuck to a strict moral code of putting clients and other salesman before himself and his commission. In a dog-eat-dog industry, Bill made a point of doing what is right instead of what would make him the most money.

Bill loved his family so hard and so deeply and enjoyed as much time with them as he could. He was a dedicated son and made sure that his mom was well taken care of even when over 1000 miles away. Even when they butted heads, he loved his wife Debby and the time they spent together. Nothing made Bill light up quite like spending time with his granddaughter, Willow. His tough and manly exterior would melt away every time they got to spend time together. Willow had him wrapped around her finger and Bill didn’t care who knew it and loved every second. Bill’s compassion, morals and work ethic live on in his children, Billy and Tiffany. Those who knew Bill will tell you his smile and laugh were infectious and made the world a little more joyful and a better place.

A memorial service to celebrate and commemorate Bill’s life will be at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas on Saturday the 26 of February 2022 at 2 pm.
