William "Bill" David Dennis Sr passed away at the age of 79 on September 25th 2022 at 7:50 p.m. in Albany Ga  from complications related to cardiac arrest and pneumonia.  He is survived by his daughter Theresa and son David Jr.

Born in 1943, hometown of Huntsville Alabama, a graduate of Lyman Ward Military Academy in 1961, and various state and local law enforcement agencies, Bill dedicated 30+ years to law enforcement, having been a member of New Orleans Police Department, Jefferson Parrish Sheriff's Department, and ending his career as a corrections officer at Lee State Prison in Leesburg GA.  

An active member in Georgia State politics, Bill was influential in organizing and received countless praise for his many years of service to State and local labor councils with Service Employees International Union.
