Dutch's obituary
William "Dutch" DeLodovico, Jr., passed away on February 19, 2025. Born on August 22, 1947, Dutch was a man full of life and warmth. He made an indelible impact on the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dutch was a beacon of strength, resilience, and love, and he left a legacy that will carry on through generations.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Hollie DeLodovico. Dutch's undying love and memories will forever be etched in the heart of Hollie, who will continue to uphold his values and teachings. As Dutch transitions to a peaceful rest, his spirit stays strong within us. His memory remains a shining beacon of the man he was, and the love he shared will forever be treasured.
William is also widely known for his many accomplishments, he served our country and was a U S. Navy Veteran, (Armed Forces Police). He retired 28 years as a US deputy Marshal. After retirement he became a court security officer at Greenbelt Courthouse. William was one of the first to train and use CPR, and was credited with saving the life of Hon. Judge John Sirica, of Watergate fame for which he rec'd the American Heart Association's CPR life saving award. Member, American Legion, Laurel Post 60 Lodge. Member and officer in Fraternal Order of Police.
Long time owner of harness horses and was actively involved in the harness racing community. Member and officer in the Cloverleaf Standard breed Horsemen's Assn. Longtime member of the DC Hand Dance Club.
