William, or as I always knew him, Billy Bob, was a remarkable human being. We met in sixth grade, and while our friendship got off to an awkward start, it quickly slid into a friendship I'll always treasure. Reading his obituary brought back a flood of memories. He was more than an educator and a mentor; he was a catalyst for growth and positivity. Watching him dedicate his life to inspiring hundreds (thousands?) of young people was a true joy. I've always appreciated how his passion, energy, and support for others could transform lives. His kindness and spirit encouraged people to strive for their best.
It's challenging to capture the essence of Williams's influence fully. His enthusiasm was infectious, his dedication unwavering, and his ability to connect with people on a personal level was unparalleled. He showed us the power of believing in yourself and others. His life was a testament to the power of positivity, passion, and the profound impact one person can have on the world. I am glad that the world got to experience his light. May his memory continue to lift people with the same infectious enthusiasm he embodied.

You taught me the difference between good and great as a performer, and I will never forget that or you. Rest easy.Â

This man was a beloved and dear friend to me and my sisters since I was around 15. I'm so proud of his fight and tenacity! If anyone was going to fight hard and with a smile, it was him just as he did. I spoke with him this past Monday and we laughed and cried together. I thanked him for great memories and a wonderful friendship. I will miss you and your presence in this world, WillyBob!
