Background
My fiance and myself are seeking assistance to arrange for the cremation of a close deceased friend, who passed away on July 1, 2025. As of October 2025, his body remains in the morgue because there are no available funds from the family ( who are making not even an effort to raise any funds) or others to cover the costs of cremation or burial. The only arrangements that have been made is the decision to have him cremated due to not being as expensive as a burial. My fiance and I are hoping to find support or resources to help honor our friend and provide a proper farewell.
How will the donations help?
The donations will be used to cover the costs of cremation, and any necessary arrangements to ensure our deseased friend is treated with dignity and respect.
Why did you create this fundraiser?
This fundraiser was created to help with the expenses associated with saying goodbye to our friend. It is an effort to provide closure and ensure the deceased is given a proper farewell.
How will the money be spent?
The funds will be directly used for cremation services and any related arrangements required to complete the process.
Anything else you'd like people to know?
In addition to the $900 for cremation the funeral home is charging an additional $95 per day for storage of the body fee. As of October 11, 2025 (102 days) the storage fees alone are at $9,690 Any support, whether big or small, will make a meaningful difference in helping all who knew him honor our friend.
