Billy's obituary
William “Billy” Joseph Council, 63, of Prince Frederick, Maryland passed away Friday, May 27, 2022. Billy was born in Washington D.C. on September 7, 1958 to Brenda Council.
Billy graduated from John F. Kennedy High school and moved to Southern Maryland shortly after, where he married Patricia (Patti) and together, they raised four wonderful children. He was devoted to supporting his family and in doing so dedicated 36 years to Bell Atlantic/Verizon, where he retired. He continued his working career with KeThink sfs, followed by Riva Solutions, Inc., where he remained until his passing.
Billy was the first to lend a hand to anyone in need and the last to leave when there was work to be done. His work ethic was inspiring and unmatched, known to many as the "hardest working guy there was". He enjoyed the search for shark teeth and spending time outdoors. He played in bowling and softball leagues and enjoyed family trips from beaches and mountains, to waterfalls and amusement parks. He was known to sled with the best and make envy worthy igloos in the winter. He was an avid reader and lover of music. He grew into a love of bird watching and helped all creatures, big and small. He will be remembered for his authentic appreciation for the simple things in life and his unwavering love for his family. He will be missed and loved most of all by them.
Surviving, are his wife, Patricia Council; four children: Michael Council, Ryan Council, Nicole Munson and Christine Council-DiBitetto; nine adoring grand-children (Alycia, Shaun, Dominic, Rocco, Mira, Andrew, Nora, Corrie and Leo); mother, Brenda Council, siblings: James Council, Brenda Henehan, Tina Council, Patricia Pizzino and Ronald Council; as well as nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, R V. Snowden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Angel Rescue Wildlife Rehabilitation, located in Lusby, MD.
