William's obituary

Staff Sgt William D. Burke, 70, of Ceres, Ca., passed away on Aug. 24 , 2021. William was predeceased by his mother Constance C. Burke, father William R. Burke, and his wife Sandra L. Burke. He is survived by his brother Patrick Burke, his sister-in-law Marinisa Burke,  daughter Nakia  Allen,  son-in-law Christopher T. Allen, son Richard E. Burke, and daughter-in-law  Antoinette  Niermeier- Burke, as well as his one and only granddaughter Kari R. Allen and nephew, Sean Burke.  He Joined the U.S Army in 1971, stationed in Germany, Lousianna, Washington and California , Married Sandra,  the love of his life Dec 8th 1973. The Army Reserves took him to Alaska, New York , Philippines  and N. Korea . After leaving the Army, he was a correctional officer until his retirement in the early 2000's. He was enjoying retirement with his wife Sandra until her passing in 2016. He loved being surrounded by family and friends, and his church family cherished his presence at their services. He often gave generously to charities in support of the lives of children, and in his free time loved creating handmade crafts for his family. "Don't worry, Dad, I'll take care of your coffee mug."
