Background
As many know I am the youngest of four children born to the union of our father, William R. Bryant, Sr. and Alonnie F. Bryant. We were all born and raised in Denver, Colorado. In 1998 our mother passed away first to breast cancer unexpectedly leaving daddy to spend the remainder of his days as a widow. Daddy always vowed that he would never remarry and he kept true to his word. In 2003, daddy made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia following the path of each of my siblings, first Debbie, then Billy Jr. and last Juanita. During the remainder of his adventurous life in Georgia, daddy met many people from all walks of life from the politicians to the knowledgeable and very helpful neighbor next door. As daddy's health diminished, he became less and less mobile eventually resulting in a trip to the hospital in December 2020 unknowingly to us kids, he would not be able to return back home. During this hospital stay we soon learned that daddy too had cancer, bringing back memories of our final days with mom. On January 25, 2021 daddy went home to be with Savior and his true love, mom. Daddy passed quietly from his fight with liver cancer, to be in pain no more. I became a board member in 2020 of the Pure Patience Cancer Foundation to support a cause already near and dear to my heart before even knowing that daddy had cancer as well. This foundation has set a mission to help those in our community who are fighting cancer or are survivors of cancer, whom the founder is a survivor herself. In honor of our mother and father, myself and my siblings ask that you give back to help support our communities who need it desperately, who often do not have the resources and/or knowledge an individual will need to navigate the complex and consuming labyrinth of the world of cancer. Donations help to educate and support cancer patients, both current and surviving. In 2020, we were able to give Thanksgiving day baskets to cancer patients to nourish themselves and their families and would love to reach many, many more. Each dollar counts and does help!
