Bill's obituary

William ("Bill") W. Bohlmann, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020 at the age of 69, at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant battle with esophageal cancer. Bill was born March 16, 1951 in Milwaukee and lived in the Brookfield area until retiring to Lakewood, WI in 2017 with his beloved wife and soulmate of 46 years, Kathleen Bohlmann. Bill was the loving and cherished father of his children: Joey (Carrie) Bohlmann, Sara (Andrew) Schoon and Kristine (Robin) Gohsman and "Pop Pop" to his three adoring grandchildren: Mallory, Alex and John; brother to sisters Judy (Jim) Gehl, Bonny (John) Hauser and Jill (Steve) Bye. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Audrey Bohlmann. He is further survived by his cherished dogs, Josie and Blaze, many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Bill was dedicated to his 46-year career at Keiding, Inc. and later Storage Battery Systems. He was passionate about spending time with his family, especially at his home on Wheeler Lake where way too much fun was had but treasured times, nonetheless. He loved the outdoors, spending time in nature, riding his Harley, spending quality time with his grandchildren, admiring classic cars, snowmobiling Up North, listening to and seeing live music, spending hours relaxing on his boat with Kathy and the dogs on the lake and engaging in conversation with anyone he met. He will be greatly missed for his kind heart, his abundance of wisdom and knowledge on most any subject and his ability to remember so much. He had a one-of-a-kind wit and humor along with a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Bill listened open heartedly with patience and always left people feeling heard; he always took the time. He inspired kindness and appreciation for the present moment; Bill loved the sweetness of life. Gone too soon; we love and miss you so much!

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life in the Spring or Summer of 2021 (details to come at a later date). A private service will be held for the immediate family at St. Mary’s of the Lake in Lakewood, WI.

The family would like to thank Dr. Volk and his cancer team at Green Bay Oncology for supporting his desire to never quit and be the warrior he was during the fight of his life. We would also like to thank Unity Hospice for their care and compassion offered to Bill and his family during their time of need.
