William's obituary

In Loving Memory: William "Bill" Hall

William “Bill” Hall, 76, of Valparaiso, IN, lost his battle to cancer June 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his wife Sharon, his daughter Alicia and his Jersey family.

He was born to George and Muriel Hall of Bloomfield, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School who enlisted in the Marine Corp the day after graduation. He fought in the Vietnam War as a sniper from 66-68, Company D 13th infantry. He fearlessly faced the most challenging missions and was a proud Veteran who had a strong love for his country.

Some of Bill’s many jobs were working for Howard Savings Bank Newark, NJ (where he met his wife Sharon), Homelife Insurance in New York City and eventually came to Indiana to take a position as Vice President of Income Property Lending at Indiana Federal Bank in Valparaiso. After many years at the bank, he opened his own appraisal company, Commercial Resource Group. He was also Chairman of the Board at the Boys and Girls Club in Valpo from 1999-2001 and made a lasting impact as President at the Valparaiso Country Club for the last 9 years.

Outside of his many achievements, Bill was an avid Rolling Stones and Yankee fan. Proud of his Jersey roots with love for his family, the shore, seafood and pizza. Loved the thrill of amusement park rides and good game of blackjack in Atlantic City. He showed love and respect to everyone he met and was a “father” to many outside of his immediate family.

Bill loved all family events, with his favorite being Fish Fest for Christmas Eve in Jersey. He was a long time devoted golfer, loved rock-n-roll music and traveling the US by car including trips to Jersey a few times a year. He loved getting together with his Sodaland friends of Bloomfield, NJ where he grew up. He truly lived life to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Muriel Hall. Bill is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon Esandrio Hall, his beloved daughter Alicia Hall Bardeson and Son-In-Law Jerry Bardeson. Grandfather to Viviana and Will Bardeson. Brother and sister-in-law Rich and Maryanne Esandrio, nieces and nephews Taran & Gene Fedor and Richard & Christy Esandrio. Grandnieces Tiana, Keelin & Tierney Fedor and Gracie & Kali Esandrio. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to VNA Hospice, The Boys and Girls Club of Valparaiso and the Wounded Warrior Project for Veterans.

Bill always loved a good time. Therefore in celebration of his life, we are hosting a party at the Valparaiso Country Club on Sunday, July 9, 2023 starting at 4:30pm with a tribute at 5:30pm. VCC is at 2501 Country Club Rd, Valparaiso, IN. As he would say “Love you to tears”
