William (Bill)'s obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Farley, born on March 29, 1952, a man who had a deep and lasting impact on many during his lifetime. Bill's jovial and stubborn nature, paired with his unique ability to never meet a stranger, will forever shape his legacy and the memories he leaves behind.
Bill is survived by his beloved daughters, Chelsea Rogers and Casi Hansen, and his cherished son, Chandler Farley. He also leaves behind his brothers, David "Butch" Farley and John Farley, who were pillars of support throughout his life. Bill was predeceased by his caring parents, Darrell "Hap" Farley and Cora Farley, and his loving brother, Joseph Farley. The joy in his life was further amplified by his six wonderful grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.
A man of simple pleasures, Bill found joy in the things he loved most; a chilled Stroh's or 7-Up, and watching his favorite Westerns on the television. He was a fervent supporter of the WVU Mountaineers and the Dallas Cowboys, his enthusiasm contagious to all around him. Bill also had a love for outdoor activities, including mowing the lawn, and could often be found walking two miles around Pike or engaged in a competitive game of pool.
Bill's true legacy lies in the wisdom he shared - "Do whatever you want, no matter what," a testament to his unwavering spirit and zest for life. His strong presence within the community and his countless friendships are testament to the kind of man Bill was, a man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him, a beacon of warmth and love in a world that is just a bit dimmer without him. Rest in peace, Bill. Your absence is deeply felt, but your spirit lives on.
