William Norris "Bill" Bickerstaff passed away on March 19th, 2026, at his country cabin in Camilla, Georgia. He was born on December 10th, 1947, in Albany, Georgia, to Robert H Bickerstaff and Ruth Norris Bickerstaff.

Bill is survived by his children, Esther Jackson (Jason), Britt Bickerstaff (Lauren), Graham Bickerstaff,  Melissa Brown (Darrell), and  Michael Lanard. Grandchildren Jay and McDuffie Jackson, Ethan and Caroline Bickerstaff, and Grayson and Mason Brown. Sister Bonnie Bickerstaff and niece and nephews, Kim Woodard (Bobbie), Robert Bickerstaff, (Kristen), Bentley Christopher, (Chase), and Cousin Alice Gentry. Lastly, Bill left behind his favorite dog and companion, Buddy.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, R.H. and Ruth Bickerstaff, his brother Bob Bickerstaff, and his grandmother Bonnie Norris.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman.  From a young age, he developed a passion for fishing, hunting, animals, and camping in the great outdoors. He spent a part of many years living in the mountains of Washington state where he made special lifelong friends and connections.

Bill’s ashes will be privately scattered by family.  In lieu of flowers, Bill's family requests donations to your community animal shelter to honor Bill.
