Bill's obituary
Bill was born on July 20, 1949 to Gerald Augustine and Sabina Maslowski in Natrona, PA. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and received a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he landed his first job as a Civil Engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers, in which he spent his entire professional career working for.
He met Linda Lou Augustine neé Brown while working at the Army Corps and they wed on April 19, 1985. They went on to have two children, Kathleen Elizabeth Augustine and Andrew Nathan Augustine.
Bill was a force of nature, and was always determined to provide an amazing life for his family and give them the world. His family meant more to him than anything else, and his love and devotion was felt immensely. He was unendingly proud of Andrew, Kathleen and Linda and always did his best to support them in all they did.
Bill was a passionate golfer and chances are if he wasn’t at home he was out on the golf course. He loved freecell when he couldn’t sleep and was an avid jigsaw puzzle doer. In his younger days he was always planning and building something be it a bar or an entire basement buildout. He was extremely talented and methodical and taught a lot to his children.
He loved coaching sports, especially basketball, and was the number one fan of each of his children’s athletic endeavors. He loved the Steelers but enjoyed just about any Football game, College Basketball game, and any Golf Tournament.
He loved traveling and spoiling Linda, and in their last years together they got to see the world from the Amazon, to Europe, to Australia, among others. Anyone who knew Bill knew he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. There are not enough pages to fully encompass all that Bill loved and enjoyed and more importantly to encompass all that he was to not only his family but to his friends, and he will be deeply missed for many lifetimes.
Bill was predeceased by his mother, Sabina Augustine neé Maslowski, and father, Gerald Augustine. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Augustine, his daughter and her husband, Kathleen Augustine and Travis VanOrmer, and his son and his wife, Andrew Augustine and Lauren Jardot.
