Strange.  Without even knowing that today would have been Bill's birthday, I thought about him while queueing up golf carts for the Riverwood outing at Slammer/Squire the day before yesterday.  Gone but not forgotten,  RIP Bill.
shared a golf cart with Bill the week before he passed.  He was a methodical and enthusiastic player.   Was a pleasure to know him.
Dear Linda & family,
Jerry and I are sending our love and sympathy to you all during this difficult time. We have many happy memories of fun times spent with you and Bill. May your cherished memories of Bill help to comfort you and may God give you strength and hold you close granting you peace.

Linda,
Kim and I were so sorry to learn of Bill's passing.
We will always have great memories of how you and then Bill came into our lives. We were always so protective of you Linda Lou way back then in HQUSACE , until Bill came into the picture and finally you had found a man worthy of our trust and respect! We welcomed Bill with open arms and were so glad to see great happiness unfold for you both. Although we are miles away we will toast Bill's life and accomplishments and remember those days when we were working and laughing together everyday!

Linda and Family:
I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Bill. I was very fortunate to work with Bill for a number of years at Corps Headquarters, especially from 2001 - 2005 when Bill and I ran the Civil Works Program Management Division. Bill was not only a very close colleague of mine but a good friend. My wife and I enjoyed, visiting you, Linda, and Bill at your place and having a great crab feed. My wife, Mary, and I offer you Linda, and family our deepest condolences and comfort of knowing how well respected Bill was. God Bless, Rob Vining
We are so very sorry, Linda and family, for your loss! We lost a good neighbor and friend. Will always remember our happy hours and our fun Covid- 19 golf cart happy hour rides. You will be missed by so many.
Love, Peggy and Don
Linda and family,
Words are really insufficient at times like these. Bill was a good friend that will be sorely missed. We didn’t know him other than in retirement but the man he was filled our hearts with his humor and generosity. Know that we share your grief and will miss a dear friend. Our love goes out to your family in these sad times.
Love Always,
Bill & Collette
Linda, Katy and Andrew
Leslie and I are deeply saddened by Bill’s passing. I know he was a guiding force for you and a true friend to us and many others. His presence will forever be missed. We will never forget, popcorn Tuesday’s, Friday night happy hour, nor the many excursions we shared both locally and around the world. Who can forget the Jaguars trips to London, the cruises on the Mediterranean and Amalfi Coast, Peru, the Amazon and Machu Phichu, New Zealand, Australia and the Caribbean.
Bill will forever be missed.
All our love,
Dale and Leslie

We were so sorry and shocked to hear of “Billy’s” (that’s what we called him growing up together) passing. Billy was my favorite cousin and I have many wonderful memories of our family get togethers. Like my sister, Carol, said I wish we could have made it to Florida for a visit before this happened. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Rest In Peace “Billy” in God’s Kingdom. Love you all
Linda and family,
I was very saddened to near of Bill’s passing. Dick and I enjoyed his company very much. Before you all were married he helped Dick coach our son, Doug’s, basketball team when he was about 12-14 years old and you would have thought they were coaching a professional team!! I appreciated your presence when Dick passed. Since you are in Florida I will not be able to make the memorial service but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Bill was a very caring, fun person.

Linda and family, my heart is saddened in learning of Bill's passing. My love and prayers are with you and the family during this very difficult time. Bill was an all around great guy.
Words cannot express my sadness in learning of Bill's passing this morning. He was a great friend and USACE colleague from whom I learned so much during our years working together! We enjoyed many great experiences during those years - including my introducing my good friend Linda to Bill while we were working on an emergency management exercise at USACE HQ. so many good memories of our friendship that I'll think about more as I reflect on Bill's life over the coming days. My heart and prayers go out to Linda and the rest of the Augustine family during this time of grief and mourning. Sylvia and I will be thinking about you, and regret not being able to be there in Jacksonville for his service. His was a life very well lived!!.....With great sadness, Ed Hecker

My heart is very heavy to learn of the loss of my dearest cousin Billy. So greatful I was able to see him and Linda at my brothers service three years ago. We were all so close growing up together, so many wonderful memories. Then life takes us all in different directions. So regretful that we never made it to Florida for a visit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Linda, Katy and Andrew during this time of grief. May he rest in peace.

Love,

Cousin Carol and husband Marc Cormier
When I met Bill in my capacity as a webmaster at USACE, he was all business. He had a heart related event then and when he came back he was so laid back and calm. Bill realized that great difference that many of us never do and that is that there is a vast difference between what you do for a living and what you do for a life. So when I contemplated leaving the Corps in 2005 to travel Europe and Africa, Bill said “Go for it! You can always get a ‘job’ “. I’ll never forget Bill for reminding me of what’s truly important and to prod me into a great life experience.
Your family is in our prayers. I enjoyed many golf experiences with Bill, most included beer! He WILL be missed!
