His legacy, which reverberates kindness, generosity, and laughter, will continue to live in the hearts of many.

Bill was a beloved figure not only at home but also in service to the nation, with proud military service in the United States Navy and the Coast Guard. His greatest accomplishments were his family and his service, both of which he held in high esteem. He taught those around him to always bring joy and to never concern oneself with the thoughts of others. This essence of nonchalance and positivity encapsulated his life.

A loving spouse, Bill is survived by his wife Sandra Nelson. He was an exceptional father to his children;Audra Oliver, Robert Nelson, Michael Hudson, Christopher Hudson, David Hudson, and Tamara Miller. He was a cherished father-in-law to Duane Oliver, Valene Hudson, Deborah Nelson and Tim Miller, and held a special place in his heart for his siblings; sister Terree Lyman and brother-in-law James Lyman. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Nelson, his mother Audrey Nelson, his sisters Melinda and Betty and his brother Sandy.

As a grandfather, Bill was deeply loved by his grandchildren; Ryan Oliver, Austin Oliver, Krystyn Nelson, Brandon Nelson, Brian Raborn, Travis Raborn, Brandon Hudson, Nathanial Hudson, Michael-Paul Miller, Tyler Miller, and Ryan Miller.

Bill filled his life with singing, dancing, and games, often seen reveling at fairs and embarking on adventurous cruises. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones. He believed in the joy of simple things and made sure to share this wisdom with his family and friends.

Bill’s loss will be felt deeply by all who knew him. He leaves behind an invaluable legacy of love, laughter, and an adventurous spirit that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
